Abstract

In the era of globalization, soft power has become an increasingly important aspect of a country’s  cultural diplomacy. South Korea has successfully strengthened its position as a producer and  exporter of popular culture with the fast-growing K-pop industry. This study aims to analyze the  role of soft power in South Korean culture diplomacy, with a focus on the famous K-Pop music  group, Blackpink. The research used descriptive analysis methods to collect and analyze data from  a variety of sources, including literature, articles, and journals. Based on the analysis, it was found  that Blackpink has become a global K-pop music icon that contributed significantly to  strengthening the positive image of South Korea internationally. Their success in reaching global  popularity can be attributed to a unique combination of exciting music, outstanding visual  capabilities, and effective marketing strategies.
