This research is motivated by the publication requirements as a final student and the author's desire to discuss BP Batam's policy role in attracting foreign investors. Therefore, the author examines how BP Batam collaborates with PT. McDermott. Through the established cooperation, a mutually beneficial relationship is created, contributing to the improvement of Batam's economy. The research employs qualitative methods for data collection, reinforcing the author's arguments with interview results to inform decision-making. The study's findings indicate that the collaboration between BP Batam and PT. McDermott was established due to the convenience and facilities provided by BP Batam, such as simplified tax payment processes, conducive government policies, and sufficient infrastructure and business facilities that cater to investors' needs. Additionally, investing in PT. McDermott in Batam has helped to keep the unemployment rate under control. Foreign investors are attracted to Batam due to its status as a Free Trade Zone (FTZ). The primary objective of FTZs is to offer a comfortable environment with benefits for managing and operating companies in designated areas.
